Whew

Today was pretty busy. It wasn't a bad day, but it was just... busy. :) And since I no longer update my Project 365, this is sort of a make-up post.

It's my grandfather's birthday. Yesterday Mama said he wasn't feeling well, so I made it a point to call him as soon as I woke up. He sounded really happy, especially when I said that my brother Miks and I were going home this weekend. Later, I found out that my uncle & his family will be there tomorrow so that should make Lolo doubly happy.

I went to the bookstore today to get a present for him (hurrah for subsidy!). I found this U.S. Presidents Factbook by Elizabeth Jewell, which I know he'll like, being the history buff that he is. I gave him a book last week, and Papa said he was devouring it. Awesome. I love you, Lolo. :)

I also got to spend some time with my friend & former co-worker Winston, who was going to watch Transformers 2.

This is where I get yappy.

The PC I use at work has been acting up lately, and today, it was just completely crazy. It kept shutting down and restarting on me until finally, our IT guy said the OS was corrupted and had to be reinstalled. I spent a good part of the day using someone else's computer and...

... making paper bags with old newspaper. See, I bought some cold cuts and when I take them home, the security at the train will be sure to tell me that I need to wrap them in newspaper or something to prevent them from smelling. The thing is, it's hard to wrap them then open them again to be inspected (because they won't take your word that it's cold cuts) then wrap them back up again.

So I figured, why not make a paper bag out of newspapers? That way, I can always say "Eh nakabalot naman sa diario ah!"

Yeah, I can be a smart-alec at times.

Here are the books I got. I also got Diana Wynne Jones' "The House of Many Ways" for myself. It's been a while since I got any new fantasy books, so this was a good buy for me.

And when I got home, the boys went shopping for milk and cereal. They couldn't find a big box so they made do with the small packets. Yep, even cereal comes in tinggi.

I should go to sleep now.
